Need some feedback from you guys/gals that have the Alpha 2000

No pinpoint, just cheap and easy- something for which there is always a market. :detecting:

Hey, I hunt with it, While my friend hunts with my G2. Its not a fast recovery, but WOW the depth and a 5 inch coil would get you the depth you need and the 8 inch is great for non trashy place. Just post some questions I will try to help. BTW I dug a 7 inch penny in Georgia bad ground. My daughter dug a nice 1947 walking about 6 inches down. No lack of power here.

No, it's the same but is nothing as quick as the G2. (the G2) Fastest I've ever used out of the box. The Alpha has a very, very accurate icon labels and you will be hard press to not find good things with it; no pin point but i rarely use that anyway. And very light weight. Trust me, it will back up the best detector out there. And be used for the quick hunt or to scout out an area! Heck my daughter (it hers anyway) has found and so have I, some great targets with it. The most underrated detector on the market.
