Need Some Advice

Hello Garrett Users. I presently own a Minelab X-Terra 50 that I am using for rings, jewelry and coins. I am thinking of adding another detector for coins and cache hunting around old home sites. I like the idea of profiling that the 1350 has, and feel like it would be useful for me. Here is where I could use your help. How deep a machine is the 1350 on say $20.00 gold piece sized items as well as larger, deeper jar-sized coin caches. Has anybody used or tested this unit on gold coins to see how effective it is? Also, if anyone has used both units and could tell me what kind of depth difference if any the two units have I would appreciate it. Thanks guys and gals.

Depth is a variable and depends on many things such as type of soil, soil conditions. mineralization, damp or dry. To give a depth prediction for an unknown area would be fruitless. Detectors do not perform universally. That's why they are field tested all over the world.

The 1350 is sensitive to gold items so should have no problem with something the size of a gold coin. Caches of coins should be picked up at a foot or two depending on size. Can't help you on the MInelab. Have a friend who uses one for nuggetshooting and does well.
