need some advice with conduct vs ferrous and tones

since i bought my machine ive been hunting mostly in am mode ferrous, whether on the beach or at a park, but ive been reading that hunting in conduct actually seperates the coins and tones better, is this true? or is it just preference? Im still a little confused about the ferrous and conduct defintion per say, and where the cross hairs hit and what they mean, i usually look at the digital mode and while hunting in ferrous i listen for the flutey sound, am i doing this backwards, should i be listening for the flutey sounds in conduct? i would appreciate anyones advice with and se or ex2 i was also told that i can miss alot of targets in ferrous because of the tones and that hunting in conduct you dont have to look at the screen as much, im just trying to get a better understanding about these 2 settings, but when it all comes down to it whether in am mode or discr. you usually dig up targets from the center of the screen and to the right whether up center or down is this correct? any help would be appreciated just trying to see if i should switch to conduct for a while even though its prob more preference but i dont want to miss anything out there!!!!

p.s. today went out and tried conduct am and discrim, i dont like the high pitch, i preffer low and hearing higher pitch sounds with good targets like ferrous, but like i said any help would or advice would be appreciated, also does anyone have that chart that shows the conduct and ferrous count in number mode for rings, coins etc. thanks

Ferrous tells you if you have iron or not iron under your coil; iron gives a low pitched sound while none iron gives a high tone.

The display is in 2-D to the more right the likelier it is iron, and the higher up the more likely it's high conductive. (i.e. silver)

If your hunting with NO disc (all metal) I would be using ferrous, easier. But if you're using a little disc use conduct, especially if your coin shooting.

Also ferrous is better for hunting none ferrous relics and hunting the beach, while conduct is better when hunting for coins in i.e. a modern park.
When you are using disc it limits what is sounding off and as such the sounds are more informative on what kind of metal it's made of.

I hope this helps,
Eu
