I have a Garrett Grand Master Hunter that bit the dust awhile back. Sent it in to Garrett factory and they replied that the touchpad is bad and they NO LONGER have the available parts to fix it. Hmmmm... any ideas on who to contact that works on older detectors? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i guess that answers my question on getting my freedom detectors repaired if something goes wrong with one of them.

Hopefully it can be repaired down there, thanks for the help guys!

My Grand Master Hunter is at Garretts now. They called Firday and left message saying that the circuit board was bad, and nothing they could do about it--No parts due to age?? They said, that they would return it as is, or offer to accept as trade in on another detector. I intend to call them on Monday, to see what their offer might be. Did they make you a trade in offer?

she offered 25%off on the purchase of new detector. I declined.

She offering 25% off retail, or street price? I might try a new Ace 250 @ 25% off the $199.00 street price, but not off retail @ $249.95.

Did you contact Keith Wills to see if he could repair it?
Bill

Yes. Keith thinks he can repair the circuit board, but not certain until he finds the problem. I'll talk to Mary P. on Monday, to see what they have to offer.
