Recieved it yesterday, went out today for a couple of hours. Only found clad, I need to learn the secret of pinpointing with this coil. Spoiled on 5" excel. Thanks.

Hi John.
Pinpointing is pretty much the same was with the 5" coil. Wiggle the coil over the target moving the coil frontwards or backwards until the target no longer sounds off, it will be in front center or back center of your coil depending which way you go.
You can also sweep one direction, then turn 90 degrees on the target and sweep again, target will be centered that way easily also. Or you can squeeze the trigger, get loudest signal, move coil forward or backward and when target disappears it will be in front center or back center of target.
If you practice the first way I described, I think this is the quickest way, works for me.

If you squeez the trigger and go left to right the lowest reading will be right under the coil where the rod attaches. Then sweep the other say and mark your spot.
