need part for sov. gt Meter Mt.

grumpy

New member
Hi Fellows.
I need to find out where to find a part for the sov. gt. The V part that the meter slides into and snaps on the shaft. I need an extra one. I turned the brains around to face forward to make the toggles easier to reach ( Caught that clue form Rick ND) and now I want to try mounting the meter on top of the handle to see it better at a glance but I dont want to remove the one on the shaft I intend to put the sunray box there. Any help appreciated.
O if anyone is interested you can take the bracket that holds the brains on the gt and if you want to mount it backward s it is a two piece bracket just drill out the two rivets turn the parts opsite they are now and re rivet them. You have to drill two holes. If you just mount it back wards without that it hangs out the rear to far for me. Seems to work wonderful. Be sure to put in some small steel washers when you rivet or plastic is not rivet friendly.
Thanks again for all the help

you can get them from minelab and maybe some dealers have them. i bought a musky that was set up that way and never have understood the advantage of doing it that way. you have a control box that you have to adjust without being able to see the controls.

These are called V clips that the meter will slide into. I carry around 10 of them in stock just incase someone needs one.
On the control box for the GT I just mounted the bracket that slides into the arm cuff backwards. There is a stop on one end I have to grind off and round it a little so it will slide on the grove in the arm cuff. It will sit a little futher back and even balance better plus the controls now will be right under you arm so it will be easy to switch to all metal for pinpointing.

If you need the V clip I can get one in the mail to you plus the rivots to mount it, they are just a $4 item.
