hi all a big favour to ask i have just got myself and the wife a tesoro detector each. one is a Silver Sabre Plus.which i have here.
the other a Tesoro Sidewinder. which is on its way.
now my question is which is the better detector ????????.
they both have the same switches, except the sidewinder has an extra momentry pinpoint button.
WHAT I WOULD LIKE IS TO HEAR FROM GUYS WHO HAVE USED BOTH.
ESPECIALY DEALERS AND MANUFACTURERS. AS TO THE PROS AND CONS OF THESE TWO FINE DETECTORS. regards ken
ESPECIALY ANY DIFFERENCES IN THE ELECTRONICS SUCH AS GROUND BALANCE AUTO TUNE DISCRIMINATION ECT.

I still own a SS Plus and always will. That Dog will hunt!!! <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> It's very good in heavy trash (get yourself a 4" coil). The Sidewinder was a favorite coin detector for several of my friends, but I have an affection for the SS+. Both are good, but you would find the newer models have better depth for deep target searching (Tejon, Vaquero or Cibola). Good hunting, David @ Dixie

Both are great machines but I always favored the Sidewinder. The SS has been proven over many years and I owned several. You can't miss with that puppy.
