I want a basic camera for close-ups of coins and a zoom for some baseball team pictures. I am looking at the Olympus D-40 and wondered if any of you have any experience with it. It seems to sell on eBay for under $400, so is it worth it?

Get a Ricoh, most Ricoh's are great for close ups.
I used a Ricoh RDC-5300 to take the pic of this coin. It's a Roman silver Denariaus, almost two thousand years old.
Brian.
