Need opinion on the Garmin 60CSX

I don't use a GPS alot,but when I go in the woods I'd like to have one.I had a rino 120 and sold it. The 120 lost tracking alot in the woods. I'm thinking about getting the 60CSX. suppose to have better satilite tracking. Any opinions?

Hi Joe,
I don't have a 60CSX but I do have a 76CX and I love it. It is Fast and accurate. I understand that the 60CSX-60CX and the 76CX-76CSX are the same inside. If you have trouble losing lock maybe you should consider an external antenna, they work! You may not need all the features of the CSX, the CX may have everything you need and would be cheaper.

I just got the 60CSX today. I believe I got it at a great price. I sent a money order to Arizona on Saturday and got my GPS TODAY(Wednesday;THAT WAS FAST). I tried it out real quick rate out of the box and it seems much simpler to use than my old 120 Rino. I use it for matel detecting and I don't know how an external antenna would work with all the stuff I carry. I think this will do great for me.

If I can add something...
it has also electronic compass and altimeter: it makes the difference in case (extremely rare with that unit) you lost the signal
