Need more info on an A&GW RR lock

Hey guys, I found this padlock. It says A&GW RR on the back and on the front it says

T. SLAIGHT
Patent
OCT 14-51
Newark NJ

on doing research i know its a padlock from the Atlantic and Great Western Railway, but my issue is that I only found one example online that looks like mine, but the guy said his says USMRR on back... mine says A&GW RR

If anyone can provide any more information that would be helpful. It seems like this type of lock sells for some $$$

It looks like the difference is only the ownership stamp. There is a flat area on both front and back of the lock where it could be stamped. I'm sure it would be very desirable and sought after to a RR collector/enthusiast.

I think you have a pretty rare lock Bobby. The A&GW was a pretty small RR that lasted less than 30 years so there are not too many of those locks around.

You will find the same lock with different names because the RR would buy a box of locks and stamp their name on them, other RR's did the same.

Congratulations on a great find........:clapping: and thanks for sharing it with us.

Thanks for the responses...anyone know what it might be worth?
