Need input on the Zagg screen protector for the Etrac.

Dan(NM)

Well-known member
I noticed quite a few folks are using these on their Etrac, which one works the best? Thanks.

zagg worked great for me for well over three years now and still cleans up like new. Generic screen protectors are durable enough for the cost which is significantly less than the zagg. Nice thing about the zagg is they are pre-cut and come with the installation stuff but it sure is pricey. However , I would always zag before I zig

+1 It works!!!!!

It's the best. I looked for a new one a while back and couldn't find one for the ETrac so maybe not making it anymore. I bought a close out one for a tablet for about. $3.00 and made one. They just wear and protect so much better

I tried the search function for etrac and Minelab on the zag website and got no matches so it's possible they have stopped offering it. A shame. I think they were 11 bucks when I bought (2) mine and I still have the unused one. Perhaps they're like the x-1 probes and can sell it for $200 now. :yikes:

I was just sitting here so I decided to call z-a-g-g and see what they said. According to their rep , they never actually made them to fit but an authorized dealer may have had the original invisibleshield cut to fit and was selling those. Evidently the same material is available at BestBuy and you can make it yourself. It's definitely worth the extra cost but I suggest you make a template and cut it while still on the paper with a razor knife or exacto blade. There are various debates on going about cutting with scissors--- ?????

I decided to call them myself as well, the rep told me they were no longer available due to low demand. I'll go to Best Buys website tonight and see what's available. Thanks for all the input.

I used these on 2 Explorer XSs, an Etac, and a cut down one on my CTX (also two cell phones). I think they work great, but even using these, don't wipe the screen off dry. Take care of them and they will take care of your screen. I trimmed the one for my CTX with scissors. Good luck with whatever you use.

Just called Zagg 3 weeks ago and ordered a replacement. Must depend on the rep you speak to. I received it about a week later.
???

I called that number today they gave me a SKU number, when they went to place the order, I was told they are no longer available.
