Need Info on Minelab Quattro

I have a chance to buy a Minelab Quattro new in the box. I was just wondering what a fair price for this machine would be, and if anyone has had any experience with one? I know the machine has been discontinued, I have read reviews on it and most people were pleased with it except for the recovery time. Any help would be appreciated.
 
Probably,better to ask this question on the Quattro/Safari Forum.My answer may be new but this is an older model and will not have the value of even a good used Safari.I have had a couple Quattros and they are slower than the Explorers,but they do have good depth.I have seen Quattros in good condition sale for 400.00-450.00 .Bottom line the seller will determine the final out come of the price.Good Luck Ron
 
I think a new one went for about $850. I wonder about it really being new and unused though, unless a Minelab dealer has it. (I still have the boxes for all my detectors, so I can ship them back for any repair work.)
