just arrived in Prescott AZ and brought two detectors, AT PRO & AT MAX, unfortunately sold the At Gold to get the MAX. I have the 5x7 coil and the sniper coil. my brother lives here and has found a small amount of flour gold and has it in glass vials. The amount is not great however it should be enough to read. My problem is the AT Pro is not reading anything with either coil. The Max is doing better. The in pointers don't read it at all. What is going on? I set the Max zero and the Pro is zero. The reading I did get with the Max was in the 30's which I thought maybe because it is higher quality gold than a ring? Need advise on why I am not reading it. Maybe just nuggets due to density. Unknown but here I am and ready to go.

Just did an air test with mine.

AT Pro can just do it in Zero with full sensitivity.

AT Max have trouble with EMI in this suburban location, had to use frequency 4 and reduce threshold to -9 in order to increase sensitivity to one bar off full, at that setting it came in nice and clear in both Zero and All Metal mode.

Flour gold is very very hard to pick up. Concentrated in a vial, it will give a mild response with high sensitivity running slightly unstable. You can't find flour gold in in it's natural forum. The pieces are just too tiny. Even my PI detectors can't pick it up.

You can, however, still use the AT Series to find the flour gold. Flour gold tends to accumulate in higher concentrations, in the same areas the black sands accumulate. The AT Series will pick up the areas where there are higher concentrations of black sands. Crank up the sensitivity to where it runs unstable, use a larger coil, and listen for the growling low pitch iron audio. These areas should contain higher concentrations of flour gold.
