wow! as i was bringing down my detector from the car, i can't resist the urge! the lawn was in front of me:heh: so i said I wont be long, first hit was a penny! i said, cool!!there is something here then!

then i tried diggin as soon as the detector found sumthin.
i got this Abraham Lincoln coin, doesnt look like a coin from the mint. More of an appreciation coin:wacko: I'aammm not really sure but here it is... any clue what it is:nerd: Thanks Y'all!!!
 
I remember those! I had a few myself! I forgot all about them till I saw this one. I think Shell gave those away during the late 60' or early 70's. Nice find.
 
Yeah I've got a few, some in mint condition. Think they were promotional coins given away by merchants such as the service stations mentioned.
