Need ID help

I found five metal (copper?) objects the longest one about 2". They vary slightly in length and appear to have mabye had a metal reed done the open slot but may have been broken off. They read 4 28 in digital mode. The first thing that comes to my mind is that maybe some type of musical instrument pieces? I don't know but it is important for me to find out what they are because I found them on my land and I'm just really curious. Any takers?

I found three of these here in East TN several years ago. I think that the popular response to my "what is it" question was also a reed.

n/t

I have found those also at a few different sites. I have been told by a "car guy" that these are clips that use to be used to hold on car trim.

Oh wait, I missed that these were only 2 inches long. That would be a very small plane.

So reeds eh?

You can see hand planes still at Home Depot. These are basically chisels but are mounted in a frame that you push / slide over wood.

You can see a picture etc on that link.

There is no question in my mind that they are reeds that are pictured. I have found many of them and thought organ reeds, but a old fella looked at them and said they were from a accordion which makes sense for the size of them. As you notice the picture these are all different sizes too and every one has been broken.

I am going to stick to car trim clips. There just can't be that many organ parts in the ground in so many different places, but could very well be car pieces all over. After a quick search on the net for car trim clips I found several close looking items but no exact match's.

Check this link and I think you will see they are reeds for a pump organ
