Need ID Help on These Old Beauties...

Found these near each other on a site that yielded colonial flat buttons anda 1779 1/2 reale. hey appear to be pewter that has been gilted. I've only cleaned so far with soap and water. Each is about 1-1/2" in diameter.

Sweet stuff Eric!!

That is the item I was interested in IDing....the second item is very similar to the first and I assume the same. Would you happen to have any idea on age? Thanks again!

I didn't see anything there that resembled mine and I also didn't see much using Google, so I'm assuming they are colonial era - there is one post on a forum that comes up with a similar type of rosette also gilted, but this guy doesn't seem to have a date either other than colonial era relics and coins from same spot. I'm hoping some other relic gurus will read this thread and chime in! Thanks again DOB!!

I would guess that your finds are from the late 1700s into the early 1800s

i agree .. bridal rossete from 1700s.. ive found 2 simular to the plain looking one you have there.. the 2 ive found were found near a half reale 1764 and several king george 11 .. that 1st one is pretty fancy... nice finds,,, .
