Greetings, I found this at an old mill site in CT. It is marked "Solid Bronze" on the back. The design is best seen from the back and appears to be bullet shaped on a background of tiny squares. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
 
Since its stamped SOLID BRONZE and the design looks a little like art deco I would date it no earlier than the 1920's or 30's. Just my opinion.
 
I agree with Darryl. It is a slide for a cowboy or bolo neck tie.
