Need help

Guys

My dad is 72 and he use to detect alot. He bought a Whites Blue and grey Pro, back a few years ago. He wants to go detecting again. I think he has been wanting to since I started 4 years ago. I am so glad he wants to go. Here is my problem, I use an ACE 250, and An x-terra 70. I have no idea how to set up his detector. He has only used it once a few years back and was not sure what he was doing then. Have any of you used this detector? We live in Nashville, He wants to go Relic hunting. He found a lot of stuff back in the 70's with a Bounty Hunter. Here is what we are facing:

1) very netural soil
2) Where to set the detector disc.
3) fine tuning

You know you posted on the Whites forum? Why don't you set the 250 on the relic mode and give him a long handled shovel?

Yea

I know-- He wants to use his detector. He has only tried it once. My mother bought the thing used for him from a friend. The detector don't have 10-12 hours on it. I have offered to let him use the 250 and the X-70. I don't care what he uses I just am tickled to death he want's to get back out. he has a Mannual and I have also downloaded the mannual tonight and done some reading.. I think I got it now.

Which one? Give him the Ace 250 or the - this is a Whites forum? Either way I read his post wrong. I see now that he was asking about his Dad's Whites. I thought originally he was just trying to get his Dad to try another detector other than Whites. So to quote you "Was that nasty remark necessary"?

I think you can even change the face plate for either detector......But with the one on it use the numeric numbers 0 to 100
Set it up on preset it will work great.
