I have a old house on my farm, in the up stairs loft in the very corner where the roof line meets the corner of the wall I have gotten a signal with my detector that sounds like a coin sound.. the problem is, there are 3 2x4 poplar wall studs nailed together there which is the main support studs for the corner of the house, my 8" coil is too big to pinpoint the target, the tin roof is only inches away also..is there a pinpointer made with a disc. in it or do any of you have any ideas? I tried a crow bar to pull the boards apart as much as I could but never found anything and the target is still there.. thanks!!

You didn't say what detector you are using but SunRay makes a one inch coil/pinpointer that uses the discrimination reject/accept of whatever your detector is set to. He makes them for most of the most popular detectors. There is a Sunray forum on here with a link to the Sunray site for more information.
Take a close look and see if there are loose boards or moldings, wallpaper that peels back easily or what have you. Most people didnt hide indoor stashes where they couldn't get at them - they concealed them so they get to them when they wanted.
