I want a Fisher for Florida. Beaches wet and dry sand need advice on which model Fisher/ technetics if price not an option
Thanks for any advice. Given.,

Honestly.....I took my F75 to SC coast and didn't like the performance.....but maybe someone had better experience than myself......Dry sand was fairly ok --wet sand forget it.......

Did you manual ground Balance the F75 on the beach ?? You have to do that.

CZ-20 or CZ-21 would be my recommendation for salt water beaches.
8" coil for water ... 10" coil for beach.

Any of the Fisher detectors will work in the dry sand but the wet sand and in the salt water you need the dual frequency detectors (CZ's).

I bought a CZ70 pro before my California trip. I didn't have much hunting time, but did find two rings. One was a very nice, huge, 14kt, man's ring with 7 diamond chips. I was hunting out just beyond the surf line as it rolled in and out.
The CZ has the added plus of being "splash resistant". Not waterproof but sealed so a wave or splash won't wipe you out.. The job of beach hunting is the beach. It is more fun to find things though. Good luck.

I use a F5 on Texas beaches, dry sand right up to the water. I can run it hot enough to hit targets at 5-6". If its in your budget, I would give a CZ machine a good look, if you ever think you'll want to water hunt get a CZ21.

F75 LTD (or what ever the new black version is called that has the boost and cache modes) does well and it will ground balance to the wet salt and shallow water. It has to be manually ground balanced, won't auto grab at these settings. The wet sand ground balance setting is about at 1 or a couple of steps into zero (it has 5 steps between numbers). It is very usable, but you need to stay on top of the ground balance to keep it reaching deep. I prefer the 10 inch elliptical coil hunting the wet sand to the standard 11 inch DD.

But my real choice: a CZ is just so much easier to hunt with in those conditions. It transitions between the dry beach and wet sand with not too much to adjust. It is a much quieter and more relaxing hunt. It is a little heavier. If you want to go more than ankle deep, get the CZ21 (even heavier) and put it on a straight shaft so it balances better. Well balanced, the weight is not so noticeable.
Cheers,
tvr
