need help with whites 6000 di series 3

Hi all looking for some help. pretty new at all this. My father in law bought a whites coin master 6000 di series 3 [ blue box ] and a Garrett master hunter 7 a.d.s. at an auction i printed the manual for the whites and i think i followed it on the threshold and ground balance setups when i tried it seems to pickup pennies but not Quarters dimes or nickles and the pinpointing and depth doesn't seem to work when i pull the trigger could it just be a coil issue or something more. thanks for any answers.

PS the Garrett needs the charger ant clue where i might pick one up.

First I would check to see if you have the right coil on the machine (whites).
If you look at the ears on the coil (the part where they attach to the stem there is a code.
This detector uses 6B coils,my 8" coil is 6B 8295.
A lot of people sell them with mix up coils, 4B coils and such can produce odd things.
If you have not read the manual, download it from Whites and read.
If that checks out and you followed the manual set-up ( set everything on P) and still no good, contact Whites
