I found a 10 k bracelet and it weighs 11 grams anyone know how to figure what that is worth at today gold value?

Gold is at 1746 oz. 10 k is 42% pure. multiply 1746 times .42= 733.32. divide by 31.1 for the price per gram, 23.57 per gram times11 equals $259.27. Nice find.

aragold in Dallas Tex. is where to send your gold,I would like to buy it but then I would just send it myself, They will pay you 98% of the spot price when they process it. Good luck with it. Russ.

This is a nice program to have in your favorites: http://www.dendritics.com/scales/metal-calc.asp

Cool Link . Thanks Larry , I am an Old AU digger and do Troy, when people start that GRAM stuff I get suspicious. Some one way back said it to me, folks wanting to buy or sell you Gold by the gram are probably trying to get over on you. On the International Market Gold is STILL traded in Troy weight.

31.1 grams in a TROY ounce. Anytime you are dealing with precious metals it is grams or pennyweights. Anyone not using grams or pennyweights are probaly trying to get over you. do your homework.

[size=large]i imagin these prices are after the stones are removed? and are the prices differant between white gold and yellow?

You have to remove the stones to get an accurate weight, 10k is 42% gold regardless of color. 14k is 58% and 18k is 75% pure gold. the earlier reply to figure gold content and value can be used substituting any of these percentages. aragold will return your stones to you after processing if you leave them in.

[size=large]took ridgerunner's que and sent mine to ARA today. FYI to those thinking about it. they would like a note with the following info when possible:
name and address
e-mail address and phone number.
do you want them to remove and quote you a value on the stones or mail them back. ( no cost )
be sure to tell them to lock the spot price on the day they open and read your note. it may be three days till they know how much real gold and the weight. if you lock the price you benefit if it falls or you don't get as much if you lock it and it goes up.
when i called them the fella didn't offer to send an envelope. he said to mail it insured and registered mail. the post office said anything insured above two hundred is registered and you get a tracking number. cost me just under $7.00 total to mail in a bubble package. that's with $300.00 insuredkeep in mind that when you weighed your gold it may have had enamel as well as stones and who knows what other decorations. these affect the actual weight so it may be differant.
they also want what your scales said was the weight. should also separate 10k from 14k or 18 k. don't know why. and list what you are sending. like an invoice. so what shows up matches what should have been.
all this just so ya know. and as per larry (IL ) i put the web site on my fav list.
