Need Help with the 1500 pinpointing

High Desert Jim

New member
Please give me some tips.

I follow the manual. When I locate a target I push and hold the Treasure Imaging, I listen to the sound as well as watch the bar accross the top of my machine. I seem to be off quite often.

Thank You HH.........................HDJ

I re read my own message. It appears to me I knew what I was saying but no one else may have.

What I meant to say is this. "I follow the book, and still seem to be off most often when I check my hole again" Any tips would be appreciated.

First off be sure your sens is not cranked up to high. The only other piece of advice I can say is be sure you have the coil off and away from the target before you push the pinpoint button. Push and hold the button then bring it back into the target zone.

hi jim i too have a 1500 and get a similer problem with pinpointing i havnt tried what jeff said bout the sensitivity though but i do move the coil away before i image scan

Get you a big piece of cardboard and tape some coins to the back of it then practice pinpointing and use something sharp to poke through the cardboard to see if you've hit the coin. The round coil is a cinch to pinpoint with. If everything is correct the target will be right under the center hole in the coil. It takes a little practice.
