Need help with Ottoman Empire (Arabic) coin.

I'm about 95% sure it's Ottoman Empire. Size is 18mm but very worn as you can see. Probably silver. Weight around 1.8 grams but again very worn and holed so it weighed a lot more when it was minted. Any help at all would be grand!

I don't think that is as old as you think. The sharpness of the edges and lack of wear on the hole make me think that. Often coins have a thick edge that wears flush with any raised lettering, this disk has no apparent wear on the lettering/design and no evidence of ever having a raised edge. silver coins wear flat across the entire surface from being rubbed against other flat coins. The wear on the edges on both sides should have the same profile whereas this disk has a rounded edge profile on one side and a rough cut edge on the other. (The pattern of a punched coin blank but not finished.)

Arabic, could be. Old, I don't think so, it looks to fresh/unworn to me. I think it is a token or religious medallion.

A different find none the less.

I think what you have is a really worn down Turkish Kurush coin. You can see the worn down stars on your coin are the same as the pic I posted...

I've found examples that look like it but have been unable to find the exact match. I think the strung hundreds or thousands of these things together and wore them around. How old it is I have no idea. Pre WW1 if it's Ottoman. I've considered it could be a copy from a bracelet or such but you can buy these things for next to nothing on eBay, why would somebody fake it? I didn't find it detecting I just came across it and I'd like to figure out where to put it. It's been in a junk box on my desk for too long!

Check out this link. Thanks for your opinion!

Nice ID Kenny...

Thats the coin, I to saw te worn stars...

You know, you might be right. There are a lot of similarities with your Turkish coin and the more I look at your coin the more doubt I have of my first thoughts on it. I see the stars too! I did not seee those the first time around nor did I see the bit of the rim, the dots, There are differences but the it must be from the same place or time or maker.

Nice find.
