Need Help With New Super 12 Search Coil

I got my dad the super 12 for our DFX and I was wondering what program would be a good one to use to make it go deeper... Dad needs a simple program that will help him find deeper coins (coins is about all he searches for haha).. He uses the program that came with the unit called Coins and he knows how to read the signals from that program, so I was just wondering what we can do to edit that program to help him out...and I was also wondering can you save new configs to the preloaded programs?... Thanks guys!!

Preset programs are at best weak programs especially for depth....several good books out on the DFX.....Foster and Jimmy Sierra authors and would advise to purchase same as they have some good info....

The two main adjustments to increase depth is Gain and AC. You can probably set gain at 3 with the 12" Coil and set the AC as high as the noise level in your area will allow.

You have to save it in one of the EEPROM slots. You can make changes in the factory programs but you can not save them there. The owners manual explains this and it seems that you have asked this before.

Here is the manual if you don't have one: http://media.whiteselectronics.com/manuals/DFX%20Manuals/DFX%20Spectrum%20Instruction%20Manual.pdf
