Need help with my Explorer SE

DIRT2

New member
I have had the SE for six weeks.
Everything going good now that Tinfoil has given me a good setting for coins.
Friday I get to my hunt area,do the noise cancel and started to hunt.

O.K. If my coil passed over a 0029 signal and also during the same swing I passed over a penny the 0029 was froze on the screen until I moved the coil away from my swing area, then everything the coil had passed over would flash across my screen real fast. This started on Friday and I didnt change a thing but batteries on Wednesday.

If you have any ideas on this issue please help, thank you Dirt2 in Texas.

what are you running your sensitivity at? sounds like you might have it a bit high and the circuitry is having problems overcoming it.

where in tx are you. i'm in the panhandle.

About 40mi. north of Houston,in Montgomery Texas.

My SE has worked great until the last hunt.

18 doesn't sound too high. I guess you can try a new set of batteries since it was the last thing that has changed. I know it shouldn't matter but who knows perhaps one of the batteries is weak. You might also try another site and see if you have the same problem.

Tested the coil by moving the wire at the coil and it would turn the detector off and on.

Sandy@Minelab is sending a new coil.
