Can anyone help identify this item? Found at an old park. The back reads "PAT 1922 REYCO". It measures around 3/4 of an inch. Thanks for any help.

From an expired Ebay auction, (link below)

These are not an exact match, nor do they show a pic of the back, but I suspect the clip matches yours.

THESE BRASS CLIPS ARE STAMPED REYCO PAT. 1922. BRASS WITH BLACK ENAMEL FRONTS. SLIDE STYLE CLIP FOR DRESS OR SHOES. GOOD CONDITION. THEY MEASURES 1 1/2" X 1".

From the link below:

The Victorian Era was one of embellishment: quilts, purses, and yes, their shoes. These shoe clips or ornaments, were used to embellish a plain shoe either for a social evening out, rather than purchase many pairs of shoes. The clips found here range in age from Victorian to the 1950s. Some can be used no only on shoes, but on dresses, scarves, and any other place that needs a bit of sparkle.

And ah ha! Looking for yours, I came across this, something I found a while ago and never new what it was... a lion head shoe clip! Go figure!

Many links and pics of shoe clips below, with luck you might find yours. Thanks for posting!

...in looking for yours, not only did I come across the lion head shoe clip, but a half a dozen others that I always thought were just broaches. I read there in one place that shoe clips could be worn on scarfs, belts, hats and dresses--a very versitile and functional piece of jewellry! I can see why they were so popular.

Shoe clips, whodda thunk? Thanks for posting! :)
