Hello all. I was wondering if someone could be so kind to identify the belt buckle and the coin I have found at an old hunted hard wooded picnic grove. The coin is dated 1777 and is the size of a US dime. The buckle has a patent date of DEC 10 1879. These items where deep and My Explorer SE, rang loud and true.
Thanks allot in advance

Hi Jason...don't know about the Buckle, but the coin appears to be a Spanish Reale. The date should put it around the reign of Carolus III (Charles III) who is on the coin. As you probably know, Spanish silver was common currency in the colonies.
