Need help with ID

Looks like a Knap sack stay. These were sewn inside the cloth belt loops on Knap sacks to hold the loop erect; allowing for easy insertion of the adjustment belt. Many years later we see plastic stays added to shirt collars. Good hunting, David @ Dixie

Thanks, David. Can I assume it's from the CW period? Hope so. It was dug very near he 3-ringer. I've searched the "web" but not seen any photos of similar pieces. Do you know if these are commonly found? Seems they might be if from knap sacks. Thanks abunch for the helP!!! Scaper
