Need Help with finding gold earring with 2 sapphires at Virginia Beach

On July 24th 2009 at about 11:30, I lost a 14 K gold earring with two sapphires in the sand at the beach in Virginia Beach between the 11th street and 12th street, in front of the Atlantic Sands hotel. I must have been 30 feet in the sea from the water line. Attached is a picture of the other earring from the pair. I attached a lot of emotional value to these earrings, I got them as a gift from my husband when my son was born. If you happen to find it please contact Marla at 845 325 1455 or e-mail: super_dba@hotmail.com. We are offering a $50 reward.

I'll betcha a hot fudge Sunday that the folks in that neck of the woods will help with the recovery. I just hope it's somebody from the forum as they would make sure you got it as they know their is an identifiable owner. Another hobbyist may find it and pocket it with a smile. Sorry you lost it. If I was there I'd go looking as soon as the tide was right. Noting it was at 11:30 they can calculate where the tide was that day. You got this posted fairly fast, but if you'd gotten it posted as soon as it happened the probability of find would have been greater. Let all know if you get it back....Jim

Lets hope it is someone that reads these posts or has heard about your loss.
The metal detecting community are not really the looters and pirates they sometimes let on to be.
Keeping valuable lost jewelry is certainly one part of the hobby but most would gladly return it to the rightful owner if possible.
