Need Help with Airplane

Found this little red airplane about 1/2 in long think its from the 40's there is no markings at all on it , any Ideas on the marker or exact year(s) it was produced thanks

The best I can tell is that it is a Cracker Jack toy. I have not seen anything stating a year it was made. There are some listed on etsy that are actual vintage cracker jack metal toys and look very close. The only discrepancy I see is that they say they measure 1 1/2" and yours is 1/2". Is that measurement correct? The esty listing could very well be in-accurate as well. And, is the bottom hollowed out like the picture below?

Here is a fleebay listing of the same toy and shows a penny for size comparison. It appears to be BARELY wider than the penny so I would guess it is about 1/2".
