need help with a piece I found:pulltab:

I need help with this tube I found this weekend. SOme have said it might be a lip stick cover. Check it out, tell me what you think. Made of bronze or copper.

What you have there is a valve cap for the tires of a old car or truck like a model T or Model A. You will see the screw treads when you look into the open end. These are always nice to find and some you may see the name of Shrader on some of them as it is the top name still in tire tools and parts.

Rick is correct, i have been detecting an old road that has not been used since 1924 and i found a lot of those old valve stem caps.
nice find

Thanks for the vid, that site looks good I would keep going back.

I agree with the others, the tube is some part of a model T or A.

As to the little pistol, you found, I'll bet that is an early squirt gun. Does is have a small hole in the end of the barrel? I believe a small rubber bulb fit at the butt end of the pistol where the two rings are. One would squeeze the bulb, immerse it in water, then release the bulb so it would draw water up inside. Then you just squeezed the bulb and the water would squirt out the barrel end. When you clean that up, I'll bet you find a hole in the butt end that connects with the hole in the barrel!
