NEED HELP WITH A MAJOR PROBLEM:pulltab::sadwalk:

I would say .... Find a Doctor that metal detects and have him write you a prescription for what ever accessories you need .:clapping:.... Or ...... tell her you are bound and determine to find her an awesome ring like one of those posted on these forums ......and while showing her the pictures of the rings also show her some pictures of some coils, probes, diggers, newer machines..... etc...:detecting:.... Or ..... maybe some pictures of the beach you are going to take her to..... where you will rub her down with oil and then take that new gear and go look for that fabulous ring ..:super:...... Just a thought ........

or you can start being a real pain in the neck at home and when she says something, you could say that if you were out hunting you would be less of a pain

Tend to think bringing her a nice ring would work out better however

Andy

Just do like I did TAKE HER with you one time and she will never want to go again, BUT she will realize that you are hanging out in trashy parks with your butt in the air, digging in dirt with street people and winos for company, and not drinking or chasing women. Then she will probably be glad to get you out of her hair! Detector stuff = Quality time for her!

Well my wifes' NEVER GOT IT. Even thou she sees.... and keeps some of the stuff i find. I get comments like ... you made $3 in 6 hours or you only found a couple of old pieces of silver ... that you will never sell? So what i do is use my clad to pay for all my hobby stuff. She doesnt say much when i say im ordering something now that i have a full can of change. MAD MONEY... have to love it.

that is cheaper than a detector. I have agreed to keep my number of detectors down to 5. I try not to talk about how much they cost. Right now I have seven, so two are in hiding.

Simplest I've found is to just sell something else to pay for it. eBay, Craigslist, are easy outlets for lots of stuff. A nice dinner helps too though.

Get a P.O. Box and use postal money orders......Hopefully she doesn't recognize "a stranger" like mine does. JJ

If she complains about money asking her to get another job should'nt be out of the question. Hope my wife does'nt see this.

tell her Antonio Banderas metal detects!

Do like I did. The wife said, "It is either Me or Metal Detecting," We Got divorced, solved that problem. If fact I had that happen 2 more times. I have been Happily Divorced for 22 years. And have found a ton of stuff during that time. Now all three of my Ex's what to marry me again. At 56, who needs them...HH...Jesse. Simple Huh...

OR...... Find a Marriage Counselor that metal detects :detecting: and go in for a couple of counseling sessions..... :crylol:
that way she can get the real revelation of the wonderful mood and joy that adding more quality detecting equipment can really bring to a marriage relationship :clapping: ....... Wow .... I think I can feel the love already ....:cheekkiss:

BTW ... When you find a marriage counselor like that , call me collect with his number ......

If you are worried about how your wife might react to a hobby purchase, you lost the battle long ago. Was married for 27 years. Got divorced and re-married. Since the divorce nobody has controlled any of my money except me. The current wife does appreciate that I don't regularly put large sums of money into hobby stuff without selling some of the unused toys. Reminds me...I gotta get a RC helicopter out of the box and onto one of the forums for sale. Jim
