Found this yesterday with the CTX 3030. It Pershing, Foch, Haig, Diaz on it...I have searched Military Medal from WWI... nothing .. Thanks for any help. Richard

Nothing on the back that I can see.. Looking at it closer, I think it is Wilson, too. Didn't really pay any attention to it.. Very possibly a watch fob... Thanks Richard

That's one of the things I look for as I make leather "man jewelry" amulets for myself out of some finds that pop up. I also cast a vote for a watch fob.

Watch fobs were usually silver or gold. Looks like maybe it once had a ribbon attached to the eye-hole. Clean and look closely for fine printing on the back. There was a company in Newark NJ that made all kinds of commemorative and political medallions etc out of non precious metals. The whitehead and Hoag co. Try looking up info through that angle. Good luck.

Well I'll be danged... The Whitehead and Hoag co. made watch fobs out of similar material with a similar loop. Could very well be a fob.

Still digging the Internet for a picture but I did find that the Whitehead and Hoag co. did indeed make a watch fob commemorating the four generals and Wilson after WWI. I had a medallion once that I thought was unmarked but after a little better cleaning I found the whitehead and Hoag mark on the back, It was not visible without getting below the crusty scale. I think Taz was right on with the fob guess.
