Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. CCH

After digging similar bottles, I think I can safely say that it's a Beer.

Here is a link to Stevens Point Brewery: http://pointbeer.com/point/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1&Itemid=42

Don't know if this is the same or not, but Stevens goes back to the 1850's. You didn't buy or sell that bottle did you EJ?

Larry,

LOL -:rofl: Seriously - This somewhat odd bottle appears old and I cannot gather much info about it. Just trying to find out how old it is and where it came from etc... I do appreciate the link.

Duke - THANKS SO MUCH. I WOULD HAVE NEVER GUESSED THAT IN A HUNDRED YEARS. CCH

You're welcome. I can almost guarantee you it's a beer, ale, etc.

Thanks again DOB,
Info about this #%$! bottle remains a mystery to me. :drinking:  LOL. CCH

Could also be a ginger beer. Doesn't look like it has a pouring spout. Very nice bottle!!! Is it Colchester, England??

Coin Digger,
I've been looking for specific info about the clay bottle but cant seem to come up with any. :stars: Any help would be appreciated. CCH

Look under Stoneware. Or stoneware beers, wouldnt be found in the category of clay bottle. Hope this helps.

Ronald.

I did a little bit of 'google' searching and it sure is a stoneware beer bottle. From the looks of it, probably late 1800s. Several bottles similar to this particular bottle are for sale on the internet but havent found an exact match or company. But - THANKS 'cause it got me moving in the right direction with those specific search engine words. CCH

You might want to try your hand at a Trade Mark search EJ. I messed with it for a while and had no luck. http://tess2.uspto.gov/

Try this site they may be able to tell you.http://cbcclub.co.uk/colchesterbrewingcompany.aspx. It is the colchester bottle collectors club.

Thanks 7cents,
I sent the club a message and think my quest for info regarding this bottle has been answered.
THANKS TO ALL FOR THE HELP. :clapping:

CCH
