Guys I remember back in the spring this Q. being asked but not having luck with it.

Minelab has a small gold program that I saved from their page but when I try and pull it up it will not show up. I've tried to put it in my e-trac patterns file to open with the e-trac program on my computer, but it will not pull up that way as well.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

PS I can pull up other programs that I have pulled off the Minelab page but that was from back in the early spring...I quess I've just got a brain freeze and have forgot some little something along the way.

Thanks and HH

I tried to find the program on their forum but couldn't find it. Without the program nobody can try it to see what the problem might be. Try posting it here and maybe we can figure something out. Catch you later! Mike

mike,

Try this. www.minelab.com/products/coin-relic-detectors/e-trac?view=faq
Go down the page and you will see (Gold Rings - Small Med Bands Pattern - 274 bytes )

giving me a fit for sure. thanks

I can open the gold file in PC XChange without any problem (and I downloaded it yesterday). Here is the down low on what you can and can't do with ptrn files, PC XChange and the E-Trac Emulator...

PC Xchange can only upload to the E-TRAC pattern files created on an E-TRAC (like the gold file on Minelab's website). The E-TRAC Emulator can import emulator created pattern files as well as E-TRAC created pattern files. The emulator cannot, however, create files acceptable to PC XChange/E-Trac. In both cases, you have to enter patterns into an E-Trac, whether real or virtual.

I downloaded the file and had no problem at all loading it. I would suggest uninstalling the Emulator and then reinstalling it and giving it another shot. You might want to download the pattern file again just to make sure it isn't corrupted in some way. Hope this helps! Mike

thanks mike / The Beep goes on

found out I had a currupted file during download. I went back this time and to re-download it and it worked fine.

Thanks again for the help. HH
