My buddy and I pledged some time too help find a platinum ring lost in a back yard. Figured it would be no problem with a AT Pro and a CTX.
However , after some research we found that platinum is 86%lower in conductivity than gold.
ALARM BELLS!!
We don't know the purity or if this ring has any other mixture with it. It's a medium light men's wedding band and we are thinking it was a slip off and not a broken ring.
Does anyone have some knowledge of how this ring may react to a metal detector?
One more tidbit it was lost last summer so shouldn't be deep.
