Need help on what water machine to buy

Don/Michigan

New member
Looking to get into water detecting again (it's been 5 yrs). I'm sure a lot has changed since then. So I have to ask what's the best bang for the buck on a good used machine? I plan on hunting a shallow lake where 100's of people hang out and party on their pontoons and play volleyball during the summer. I have never seen a person detecting there so it might be a great spot to start. Thanks for the help!

I've got a CZ20 ... but if you are only looking at fresh water, in my opinion, you may want to seriously consider a Tesoro Tiger Shark or even the discontinued Stingray II.

I hunt Michigan all the time and I love my CZ-20 -21 hybreds. They are fantastic machines for the Michigan lakes

Even if this wasn't a Fisher forum CZ20 for saltwater and 1280X for freshwater are too good options..

All in all another two options not being Fishers are an Excalibur for salt water and one of several Tesoro water machines for fresh water..
