I found this tag today while searching around an old house site.
I thought it might be an old cattle tag, but not sure what to make out of it..
The coin if for scale and it is a $1.00 U.S. coin.
Any ideas?

Awful big for a cattle tag, and a bad shape as it would easily get caught on any kind of wire fence. It looks like a saw blade, I wonder if it would of been used to mark a load of lumber for delivery. Just guessing.
