Hope someone can help me identify this relic I have been hunting an old home site so far all coins have been 1880's this relic is made of iron, the face is oval the bottom is concave 1/8th inch thick, it is10 inches long 5 inches tall and 1 inch high, with a small hole on each side a flag stands in the center with the words southern cross across the flag any help on what this relic is or was used for would be greatly appreciated... thanks JD

First thing that comes to mind is a piece off of a wood stove or some type of old farm equipment. But it is neat...d2
