Need help on mine lab 3000

Can anyone tell me if a mine lab 3000 would be of any use in locating placer or nugget gold in an area like Va. ROOKIE FROM LOUISIANA
 
About the area, what size gold do you hope to recover from this area, what do the Geologic reports say about the area ..Probably you would be better off with a good VLF with a few coils such as a Tesoro LST Fisher GB1 or 2 or one of the latest Whites GMs, these units are very hot on small gold. Not saying the 3000 won't work in your area but you might be better served with a good VLF.........HH...Geo
