MY friend found this and we can not find anything on it. The first picture is the back and reads always in the right direction with TWINKIES happy shoes for busy feet. At bottom it says hamilton brown shoe co.
The second picture is the front and at bottom it reads Twinkies shoes.

Can someone tell me what it is and what the hole is used for. Thanks in advance!:help:

Looks like a watch flob to me, need to post a reference beside it to show size. The hole may have had a penny or nickel in it. Will they fit? Also here's a little info I came up on.

I found an identical one last summer. At the time it seemed like they came from Europe, which made sense
because a lot of the early miners in this area came from Poland (1900 to 1930)
I had also found a picture of one at the time that had a small compass in the hole.

The piece is 1and1/16 wide and 1 and 9/16 tall the hole at bottom is 5/8 inch. Thanks for all the information you all have already given me . All information is appreciated.
