Need help on Garrett recon

To the people who've owned this detector or do own it, can you adjust your sensitivity up or down, or not? I cannot ajust it on mine, it still works ok but cannot adjust it. I read a post on another forum when i did a search about this problem. I read one post where someone said they could not adjust theres either, so was wondering if this just normal? Thanks

Hello JJames,

My memory is terrible, but kind of remember a possibility Garrett had at least two Recon versions.

One with sensitivity adjustment the other locked preset sensitivity... I'll try and dig up the Recon manual, I've long since gutted my Recon for parts.

I borrow one from someone some time back and that was locked if i recall,basically it was locked i assume because it was designed too do just one thing and mine hunt,so the later one had been the more desirable ones.Only borrowed it a short time though but then i bought a new TDI Pro,Crossbow and a Mirage.

They Recon are built like tanks,and then finally evolved into the ATX,good luck with your new machine.
