The way I do it is I send myself pictures via Email and when it asks me what size do I want to send, I choose Medium. When I receive the pictures, I save them and they are ready to download and post in the correct size. There are many other ways to size pictures but this is the easiest for me.

You could also download Picassa. Use it to resize your images. You then have more control over the size and quality you want. You can also add text to the photos easily (such as copyright notices, etc).
