Need Help ID'ing

Need help ID'ing these two items & would like to thank you in advance for your help!

Both items are 1/2" wide and approx. 3.5" long where each one bends. The metal is very sturdy, looks silver plated & there is alot of solder on the one (farthest from the ruler) with the alteration jutting off the side. There is also a clean cut on the same one & a bunch of solder as if someone tried to solder something oval to the band at one point in time.

The one farthest from the ruler was found in a field we're convinced was a confederate camp based on the things coming out of the ground & the other (right next to the ruler) came from about 1/2 - 3/4 mile from the camp in a wooded area.

I'm intrigued now, as the one closest to the ruler is clearly inscribed with "White's". Preliminary thoughts lead us to believe these might be some sort of musket or other weaponry bands. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks Again!
