I found this while hunting at a beach the other day in the water and down a full scoop. I thought it was junk at first but after looking it over I could tell something was inside. It turned out to be silver and after digging out the muck those items were inside. A pearl, ( that was actually to big to fit in properly ) , the pink stone and some type of tan stone.

It is a very interesting item, ( at least to me ), and I would love to know what it is and what the significance of the items inside are. Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks.

One of the pics looks kind of like it is silver plated copper but in another pic it doesn't show the copper appearance. Is that just silver tarnish before cleaning? And is there only one hole in the item? It doesn't look like it ever had a lid for the hole. Maybe it was not a hole to begin with and the items were sealed inside.

Well, this prayer box turned out to be " cremation jewelry" and fortunately the remains were still on my workbench. Everything will be put back into the box and returned where it was found.

It won't stay at the beach for very long, either keep it in a respectful location or bury it in a safer place from our kind. Would be kind of neat to attach a badge or ID stating it is a cremation piece incase it is found again.

People cremate their beloved pets and wear their remains in the same type of jewelry.
