I just bought my garrett gti 2500 detector and even bought the treasure hound pinpointing accessory so i can get a maximum depth.i got no problems with the gti 2500 itself, but my big problem is when i use the treasure hound.if there is anyone out there who can give me an advise on how to use it the right way, PLS.... i really need your help.Is there a way to differentiate the sound or is there a way to differentiate anything at all so i can recognize gold from metal.im really having a hard time using it,because it seems to react uncontrollably when i move from one spot to another.actually it reacts to any spot i put it.why is that???? what am i doing wrong!!!! i really need help, and i really want to learn how to use it.actually the reason why i bought it is that, their have been rumors that our place use to be a depot for the japanese during WWII.our place is near the beach so its possible.their actually are japanese who offered us to sell the place, but my father did not agree.thats why ive decided to buy a detector so that we can find out if its true or not.PLS!!!!! if there is anyone who can help, i will really be very gratefull.

What exactly are you looking for? The Treasure Hound is for objects buried real deep ( two feet and beyond ) and usually large. Are you looking for big gold or small gold. Your plea is vague. We need details.

You can contact Mary Penson at Garrett and she may be able to steer you in the right direction. Just buzz her at maryp@garrett.com
