Need help! going on vactation to Ft Lauderdale. Need good hotlel to stay and detect?

Hey diggers, planning to take a few days in Ft lauderdale and looking for a decent, reasonable hotel for my wife and I and hope to be in a good place to detect?

Any tips from guys that either live there or have done somthing similar?

We plan to visit a relative in Del Ray beach a few days as well.

I am not familiar with hotels there, but I like to review hotels, etc., at this site. Don't go completely by the room prices as they may not be accurate & up to date, though.
