If you have had experience with beach nourishment in your area or if you love to visit the beach, perhaps you know something about this issue.

Our local gov't officials are proposing the largest beach nourishment project ever undertaken in the world for North Carolina's Outer Banks beaches.....14 miles with 50' high berm - 13 ft. wide at a 50 year cost of $1.6 billion. All for the ocean to wash away.

There is a way that locals, visitors and friends of the Outer Banks can help fight the destruction of our natural seashore by this man-made disaster called beach nourishment. Please consider signing the petition which is available at:

http://www.petitiononline.com/nobn4obx/petition.html

You can help make a difference. Thanks so much.
