Planning to go down to Huntington beach...( is this a good beach for metal detecting)? I'll be in the Long Beach area..................I'm told that it's hard to get parking at Huntington.................where are the parking lots....what do they charge and when do they open and close???? Any suggestions fpr hunting this area will be greatly apprciated.....I'll be in the area for 3 days. Thank You

They take quarters or bills. I've heard that they chase you off the beach after 10pm. Large lots are further south, and it's $10 for the day. Happy Hunting.

You can park on Pacific Coast Highway by a parking meter anytime. This time of year parking isn't bad and the beaches are not crowded. The beach curfew is from 10: 00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

the best hunting @ hb is near & around the fire pits. thats where i scored on an ipod which i use everyday. good luck!!!:whites::detecting:
